Angel Studios' Rule Breakers Brings an Inspiring True Story to the Big Screen

Angel Studios, the Provo, Utah-based production company known for films that inspire and uplift, is set to release RULE BREAKERS, an emotionally powerful film based on the true story of Afghanistan’s first all-girls robotics team.

Set in a nation where educating girls is seen as an act of rebellion, RULE BREAKERS follows the story of a pioneering woman who challenges societal norms by teaching young minds to pursue career paths that are traditionally closed off to Afghan women. Directed by two-time Oscar-winner Bill Guttentag (NANKING, LIVE, TWIN TOWERS, ONLY THE DEAD) and produced by Laura Overdeck, RULE BREAKERS is set to release in theaters March 7, 2025, the eve of International Women’s Day.

The film presents a dramatized interpretation of the inspiring story of these courageous young women that are participating on a robotics team in Afghanistan.
