Club Ability is a Utah-based organization founded in 2021 by Juliette Bautista that advocates for STEM education and addresses the lack of accessible tech programs for underserved families and individuals with special needs in the state. In 2018, Bautista moved from her home country of Peru to Utah for her daughter’s medical treatments. In Peru, Bautista had worked in the tech industry for 15 years. She was named one of the up-and-coming young executives with the most promise in Peru’s corporate ecosystem. When she moved to Utah, she noticed a need for coding classes for children, focused on low-income families, minorities, and children with disabilities.

Under its "Tech for All" mission, Club Ability has become a transformative force for computer education, especially for low-income families and individuals, by fostering growth and tech proficiency across all ages.
"One of our students, Ricardo, a gardener from Mexico who lost his eyesight, wanted to learned technology skills despite his impairment. He went through our program and is now able to type by himself now and use the computer and prepare himself for a career in technology," said Bautista.
For 2025, Club Ability is offering the following programs:
The first program is called “Habilidades Digitales para tu Éxito” (Digital Skills for Your Success). It is designed for individuals aged 16 to 24 and focuses on teaching essential digital skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, résumé creation, and LinkedIn profile setup, as well as how to navigate job searches on Indeed. This workshop aims to create a pathway to professional success for low-income families and individuals with disabilities.
The course is free and runs every Saturday for 10 weeks, starting on January 25, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at 2875 Decker Lane, West Valley City, UT. It is not too late to sign up—this free course is available in both English and Spanish.
The second program is designed for individuals learning English while also developing basic Excel skills. It begins on Saturday, February 22, at 10:00 AM and continues every Saturday for five weeks at 845 S Main St, Bountiful, UT.
The third program, “Minecraft Plus 3D Design,” is tailored for children aged 7 and up and is offered in both English and Spanish. It serves as an introductory course to spark children’s interest in technology. The program begins on Saturday, February 22, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and runs every Saturday for five weeks at 845 S Main St, Bountiful, UT.
The fourth and newest program, “Diseño en 3D” (3D Design), can serve as a continuation of the third program but is also open to new participants. It is designed for individuals aged 10 and up and is offered in partnership with Weber State University. This seven-week course meets every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
There are two cohorts:
- The first cohort begins on Saturday, February 22, with a capacity of 25 students.
- The second cohort starts in April also with a capacity of 25 students.
The cost of this course is $25 per student and $5 per additional sibling. Participants will gain hands-on experience in 3D design and receive a certificate of proficiency and completion from both Club Ability and Weber State University.
Additionally, students will take a field trip to see real-world applications of 3D technology. The program will be hosted at 2605 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT.
