The Point is one of the most important opportunities for re-imagining the use of a large, blank-slate parcel of real estate in a highly desirable location in the heart of Silicon Slopes. The Point's 600 acres of state-owned land is on a pathway to become the premiere location along the Wasatch Front for innovative companies wishing to become established as a player in arguably Utah's most prominent and visible central hubs.
Utah's largest and highest-performing commercial real estate company, Colliers, established in 1998, has announced the commencement of pre-leasing of 2.3 million square feet of office space at The Point, beginning with buildings known as Rockwell One and Promenade One. These amenity-rich Class A office buildings will feature state-of-the art elements, floor-to-ceiling glass, breathtaking views, and an immediate connection to the vibrant community outside.
Currently, The Point is in the process of building out critical above and below-ground infrastructure including integration with public transportation. The next phase, slated to begin in 2025, will include the construction of vertical buildings to be leased by businesses and organizations wishing to be embedded within this prestigious, showcase community. It is a holistic community, creatively blending residential, working, shopping, recreation and entertainment spaces in the epicenter of Utah's most desirable commercial real estate.
On a related note, The Point is inviting the public to weigh in on the public art that will eventually become integrated into the community at The Point.
After its nationwide search and competitive selection process of the consulting company to develop the Public Art Master Plan, The Point has selected Designing Local, based in Ohio, to lead this effort. Union Creative Agency, based in Ogden, will also assist the project which aims to create a world-class public art program at The Point.
Those interested in expressing an opinion on Public Art at The Point, may do so via this short survey.
It seeks public input on public art opportunities at The Point, including the overall philosophy towards public art in this development, and specifically public art in its various spaces, such as the trail system, the central promenade, etc.
The availability of the survey has been extended through next week.
