On the heels of the launch of Gabb's Phone 4 Pro for teens on earlier this month, today Gabb announces the launch of the Gabb Phone 4 for kids. It replaces the prior Z2 model, and similar to other Gabb devices, emphasizes safety, connection to family members and approved friends, but without the temptation—and risks—of social media. It's leading features include safer messaging, GPS tracking and mapping, and also access if desired to Gabb's Kid safe Music+ streaming service.
Gabb Phone 4 builds on Gabb’s commitment to empowering families to connect more safely in a digital world. Kids will be free from the burden that comes with access to social media and internet browsing apps as they learn to navigate their next step in tech in an intentionally scaffolded way.
Key Features of the Gabb Phone 4:
- The Essentials: Gabb Phone 4 is designed to foster the skills necessary for kids to flourish in the digital age. They gain independence as they learn to navigate just the right amount of tech, supported by built-in parental controls and free from capabilities they aren’t quite yet ready for.
- Gabb Messenger: Gabb Messenger offers a safer messaging experience for kids and teens. All communications go through smart filtration, alerting parents to explicit messages. Video calls with potential nudity are instantly disconnected. Content referencing self-harm or bullying triggers alerts in the Gabb Messenger Parent App, encouraging important conversations with children.
- GPS Tracking: Allows parents to keep track of their child’s location in real time.
- Gabb Music+: Explicit-free, top-hits music streaming along with custom playlists, unlimited track skips, and full searchability on the world’s largest kid-safe music library. (Optional Subscription)
- Gabb Maps: Gives kids and teens the freedom to explore, without listing adult locations and inappropriate user-generated content like other map platforms. Safer routing and an ad-free experience make Gabb Maps the premium navigation tool for kids and teens. (Parent Enabled)
Nate Randle, CEO of Gabb, expressed his enthusiasm for the new product, stating, “Gabb Phone 4 is the newest generation of the phone that started the kid-safe tech revolution. This phone is designed specifically for kids making it the most trusted phone for kids.”
