As part of their recent partnership with Axon, LVT (LiveView Technologies, Inc.) showcased their mobile security units during the Axon roadshow in Orem on October 8, 2024. The purpose of the roadshow event was to demonstrate and train law enforcement on how best to use the technologies developed by both companies.
LVT offers mobile security units that utilize built-in cameras, broadcast technology, strobe lights, and speakers to deter crime, primarily on commercial properties. As part of the partnership secured with Axon earlier this year, LVT will connect their mobile units to a software platform Fusus by Axon allowing law enforcement to access their camera feeds and more effectively monitor safety threats and safely respond to incidents.
LVT, based in American Fork, Utah, was founded in 2005 and provides mobile security units to businesses around the country to help them detect and deter crime. LVT’s AI model allows the units to identify people that are behaving suspiciously and will alert business owners via their mobile app of suspicious activity.
While primarily meant to deter crime LVT’s mobile units have other use cases as well including being used to monitor flood water and snow levels.
LVT manufactures all of its mobile units in Spanish Fork, Utah. This new partnership strengthens Utah's presence in public safety technology and supports growth within the state’s tech ecosystem.
Axon Industries is a public company best known for inventing the taser in 1993. The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company, formerly known as Taser International, showcased other law enforcement technologies during the recent roadshow showing off their branded semi truck and trailer, their market-leading body cameras and AI software platform, Fusus.
“We’re here so that police departments can come out to get hands-on experience with our technology and see how it works in real time,” said Ross Adeli, West Coast Roadshow Lead for Axon.
The roadshow featured a firing range for testing tasers and included demonstrations on how law enforcement can better utilize their Axon body cameras. These capabilities encompass transcription and assistance in drafting police reports using Axon’s Draft One software.
