LiveView Technologies (LVT) has introduced a new set of AI-powered tools designed to help security teams monitor and respond to incidents more efficiently—day or night, in any setting. Currently in beta, these features include smart audio alerts that reference specific visual details, an automated spotlight that follows activity, and a keyword-based search tool that makes it easier to find footage. The updated tools, announced last week at ISC West, a major security trade show that recently took place in Las Vegas, include personalized audio messages that identify attributes, a pan/tilt spotlight that intelligently points at a detection area, and an intuitive forensic search to find footage using natural language.

“These updates represent the next step in how we support real-world security teams,” said Steve Lindsey, Chief Technology Officer at LVT. “We’ve spent years building and refining our AI models to do more than just record. They help detect, validate, and prevent incidents in real time—and they’re built to work anywhere.”

What’s New in the LVT Platform

  • AI-Powered Audio Alerts: When activity is detected, the system can automatically issue a spoken message that describes the person triggering the alert—such as what they’re wearing or carrying. The system includes multiple voice options and is designed to act without needing a person to intervene. See video below.
  • Forensic Search with Simple Keywords: Instead of scrolling through hours of footage, users can now search by entering natural language keywords (e.g., “person in red shirt at entrance”) to quickly find relevant video clips.
  • Smart Pan/Tilt Spotlight: When a detection is made, the spotlight moves automatically to highlight the area, improving visibility and helping on-site personnel respond faster. It also ensures clearer video evidence and can serve as a visual deterrent.
  • Customizable Strobe Lights: Security teams can adjust the color, pattern, and brightness of strobe lights on the unit to create noticeable visual signals or warnings when needed.

“These AI tools give security teams around-the-clock visibility and faster ways to act on what they see,” said James Bangerter, Vice President of Product Development at LVT. “We're giving them better information, earlier in the process, so they can make smart decisions without delay.”

Coming Soon: SafeNow

At ISC West, LVT also previewed SafeNow, a mobile-first feature currently in beta that allows users of the LVT technology to access certain unit functions directly from their smartphones. It’s designed to extend security awareness and response capabilities beyond the traditional control room.

James Bangerter, VP of Product Development, LVT

“LVT’s AI features redefine what’s possible in mobile security, and our proprietary detection models will continue to evolve rapidly in the coming months,” said James Bangerter, LVT VP of Product Development. “Security teams can now access more advanced deterrence features that provide 24/7 coverage and keep personnel aware of risks or incidents so they can make informed and effective responses. Simply put, no other mobile security solution offers AI of this caliber.”
