"After an incredible year of 650% growth and strong profitability, I am extremely excited to join the board along with Todd Pederson, who is one of Utah’s best-ever entrepreneurs, and who is making one of his largest personal investments," wrote Tyler Hogge on LinkedIn. "Remi now has an incredible set of investors, including our friends at Cervin, Y Combinator (who doubled down in this round), and some of the top founders and executives in Utah, including Blake Murray, Adam Edmunds, Todd Santiago, and others."

On his personal website, TylerHogge.com, Hogge shared in detail the reasons he invested in Remi.

Founded in 2022, Remi is a Lehi-based company that has developed a marketplace and efficient bidding process for homeowners seeking a new roof with roofing contractors. The company offers instant quotes, guaranteed quality, and fast timelines, thereby streamlining all aspects for both homeowners and roofers in providing a home with a new roof.

Doug Barnett, Founder and CEO, Remi (YC W22)

"Roofing is among the most fragmented industries in the United States," mentioned Doug Barnett, Founder and CEO of Remi, on LinkedIn. "Homeowners have no clear market leader to trust. Roofing contractors are underserved small businesses. Large enterprises need nationwide roofing support. With this investment we are rapidly increasing the value we can provide for all sides of our marketplace."

He continued, "for homeowners, continued focus on massively improving the speed, experience, and trust of a great re-roof. For roofing contractors, consistent work, increasing speed of payment, cost reductions, and technology to simplify their work. For large enterprises, a nationwide network of incredible contractors using the best technology in the space, creating huge savings for them and their customers. As we crafted our vision for modernizing roofing, we quickly identified Sunrun and their million customers as perfect first partners. One year in, we are so grateful for the trust and belief from Paul Dickson, Mary Powell, Patrick Kent, Chance Allred, Connor McQuade, among many other incredible leaders at Sunrun."

Barnett was in the Y Combinator Winter 2022 batch of entrepreneurs. YC invested $500K in Remi in March 2022.
