The Second Annual Silicon Slopes AI Summit is set to place on September 26, 2024, at the 31,000 sq ft Young Living Alumni Center located on the north side of UVU's Orem campus (1062 W 800 S in Orem, Utah 84058).

The summit is expected to gather over 200 attendees and admission is free. It will showcase the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), featuring experts who will explore how AI is transforming industries, from business and research to technology and innovation.

Tyler Folkman, AI Chapter Chairman at Silicon Slopes shared his thoughts on the event stating, "As we host the Silicon Slopes AI Summit, our goal is to bring together the brightest minds from Utah’s thriving tech ecosystem to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we live and work. Our goal is not just to discuss the future, but to actively shape it—ensuring that as AI advances, it does so in a way that benefits businesses, communities, and individuals across Utah and beyond."

Jepson Taylor, CEO of VEOX Inc., will deliver the keynote on "Automating the Developer and the AI Researcher in the Age of Innovation,” explaining how automation is reshaping the roles of developers and AI researchers. Manish Parashar, Presidential Professor at the University of Utah, will discuss "Democratizing Responsible AI for Innovation and Impact," focusing on AI’s ethical use and its role in driving innovation. Berton Earnshaw, Founding Fellow at Recursion, will explore how "The Future of Scientific Discovery is Autonomous," highlighting how autonomous systems are revolutionizing research. Manu Sood, Senior VP of Technology at AvidXchange, will present on “Quantifying and Proving the Business Impact of Artificial Intelligence," exploring practical methods for quantifying the tangible business outcomes driven by AI initiatives. Barclay Burns, Assistant Dean of Applied AI at UVU, will dive into the "Generative Revolution: The Future of Work" and AI’s role in enhancing innovation and productivity in the workplace.

Clint Betts, CEO and Co-Founder of Silicon Slopes, will serve as the emcee. Registration will begin at 9:00 am, and the program will run from 9:30 - 11:30 am with networking and optional food trucks afterwards.
