Lehi, Utah - April 29, 2025

SponsorCX, a Lehi-based leader in sponsorship management software, has raised $4.6 million in a new investment round led by Kickstart. The funding will accelerate the company’s growth and help more organizations replace outdated, fragmented tools with a centralized, purpose-built platform.

Previous investor Blueprint Equity (San Diego) participated in the round, along with new investor Capital Eleven (Boise). High-profile Utah-based angel investors also joined, including Spiff co-founders Jeron Paul and Matt Stapleton, and Pluralsight founder Aaron Skonnard.

Tanner Potter, Partner, Kickstart

Kickstart Partner Tanner Potter, who is joining the SponsorCX board, said the investment was driven by the team’s deep domain expertise. “Jason has lived every angle of the sponsorship challenge,” he said. “SponsorCX isn’t retrofitting general tools—it’s purpose-built to define the category.”

The new capital will support expansion across sales, marketing, customer success, and product development. SponsorCX plans to grow its customer success team and enhance platform integrations—especially with ticketing systems critical to sports and entertainment sponsorships. The company already integrates with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Outlook, Gmail, and offers custom integrations tailored to client needs.

Jason Smith, Founder and CEO, SponsorCX

“This investment allows us to grow our team, expand our platform, and continue delivering meaningful solutions for brands and properties,” said Jason Smith, SponsorCX founder and CEO. “When people think about the best way to manage sponsorships, we want them to think SponsorCX.”

Smith noted the importance of ticketing integrations for premium assets like clubs and suites. “These go hand in hand with sponsorships,” he said. “We’re working on integrations with premium ticketing products.”

SponsorCX’s cloud-based platform offers real-time tools for account management, inventory tracking, pipeline organization, agreement generation, task fulfillment, and asset scheduling—all accessible via mobile app. It replaces spreadsheets and siloed tools still widely used in the large global sponsorship industry.

“Brands now demand better data, transparency, and measurable performance from their sponsorships,” Smith said. “SponsorCX is helping clients modernize their operations and deliver more value.”

SponsorCX serves a diverse client base, including NFL, NBA, MLB, and MLS teams such as the Seattle Mariners and Sacramento Kings, as well as minor league sports, entertainment venues, and university partnerships.

Joe Canfield, Director of Affinity Partnerships, University of Utah

Joe Canfield, Director of Affinity Partnerships at the University of Utah, described the transformation since adopting SponsorCX: “For five years, we juggled spreadsheets, Google Docs, and scattered systems. It led to double bookings, communication breakdowns, and lost data. Now, our team can manage the full lifecycle—from sales to fulfillment to reporting—within a single platform.”

Founded in American Fork, Utah and currently headquartered in Thanksgiving Park, Lehi, SponsorCX employs over 30 people, including ten recent hires. The company is poised for continued growth as it helps brands and properties maximize the value of their sponsorships.
