SpringTide Ventures, an early-stage Health Tech venture capital firm with offices in Salt Lake City, Boston and San Francisco, announced today that its inaugural annual meeting, Wave 2024, will take place on October 2-3, 2024, in Alta, Utah. Wave 2024 is a gathering of the top 100 leaders in healthcare. In the lush mountain setting of Alta in Autumn, they will dive deeply into the most impactful emerging technologies, policies, and models of care and payment.
“Wave provides something that the larger industry conferences no longer provide: The opportunity for the most forward-thinking C-level executives to meet as a society of peers to learn from each other in a private, relaxed environment,” said Austin Walters, CEO of SpringTide. “We are excited about the future of healthcare and believe the insights and connections formed at Wave will help to accelerate the future.”
Among the keynote speakers for Wave are Darius Shahida and John Carreyrou. Shahida serves as the chief strategy officer and chief business development officer at Butterfly Network, a leader in digital ultrasound innovation, where he oversees significant initiatives, including M&A, fundraising, and strategic efforts like the company’s largest medical imaging raise of $250 million in 2018 and a $1.5 billion merger in 2020 that took “BFLY” public on the NYSE.
John Carreyrou, a renowned investigative reporter and author, is best known for exposing the Theranos scandal. His relentless pursuit of truth through rigorous investigative work earned him numerous accolades, including two Pulitzer Prizes.
