Salt Lake City, Utah, October 10, 2024

Strider Technologies, Inc. has been awarded a 20% tax credit for its expansion in Utah by the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO). The incentive is part of the state’s Economic Development Tax Increment Financing (EDTIF) program. As part of the agreement, Strider projects it will add over 150 new jobs based in Utah over the next several years, generating over $56 million in wages which equate to a tax benefit to the state of over $2.3 million over five years.

In January 2021, Strider officially moved its headquarters to Utah. Utah’s rapidly growing technology sector has provided Strider with access to top-tier talent, while the state’s strong focus on entrepreneurship and innovation has supported Strider’s continued growth and success.

In today’s competitive global environment, nation-states are seeking new avenues to exert influence and gain strategic advantages. This is particularly true for countries like the PRC, Russia, and Iran, which are attempting to acquire cutting-edge technology, talent, and data from organizations across industry, academia, and government. Strider is at the forefront of tracking and countering these efforts, developing advanced open-source intelligence capabilities that empower Western organizations to secure their innovations and intellectual property.

We’re grateful for GOEO’s efforts to enable Strider to attract even more of the best and brightest from the intelligence, technology, and business communities to Utah, and further establish the state as the center of gravity for innovation in national and global intelligence,” said Greg Levesque, CEO & Co-founder of Strider.

“We’re honored that Strider has chosen to expand its footprint in Utah,” said Ryan Starks, executive director of GOEO. “Strider’s mission to protect the ideals and innovations of the free world strongly aligns with Utah’s commitment to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. We look forward to supporting the company’s expansion in Utah, and we are excited for the innovative global impact Strider will create.”
