Tech-Moms has announced the launch of an online program designed specifically for individuals in rural Utah. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in tech education and workforce opportunities by providing accessible training to those living in remote communities. The nine-week course begins on March 1, 2025. Space is limited. The course will equip participants with foundational technology skills to help them transition into high-demand careers.
"We are excited to be connecting with community, education, and government organizations around the state as we work to bring Tech-Moms to rural Utah," said Robbyn Scribner, co-founder of Tech-Moms. "For five years, we've trained more than 600 students, primarily from the Wasatch Front, but we know that there are Utahns who could benefit from our programs who live in every corner of the state."
This online program will offer a comprehensive curriculum covering essential digital skills, career development strategies, and industry insights. Participants will receive mentorship from an experienced instructor and join a growing network of Tech-Moms alumni who have successfully transitioned into technology careers. The virtual format ensures that students can engage in the coursework from anywhere, making tech education more inclusive and accessible than ever before.
"Too many rural Utahns are lacking opportunity as our economy keeps shifting, and learning new tech skills will be essential for all of us as we move forward into the careers of the future," Scribner added.
"Tech-Moms is thrilled to add to the good work that is already being done in terms of rural workforce development by expanding our online programs across the state this spring."
