UVU will host Dr. Neil Lawrence on Wednesday, September 11 at 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the new Vallejo Auditorium on the main floor of UVU's Keller Building.

Dr. Lawrence is the inaugural DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge. As a leading voice in AI, Dr. Lawrence is influencing the future of AI research and its practical applications across various industries.

Dr. Lawrence is also a Senior AI Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute and a visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield.

With the release of his latest book, The Atomic Human, Dr. Lawrence addresses concerns that AI will challenge humanity’s current position at the center of the world. He explores how AI will transform our society, while also considering the unique qualities of the human mind that machines can't replicate. His insights, drawn from years of pioneering research, will be invaluable to anyone interested in the intersection of AI, education, and innovation.
