YouScience Administers Over 1 Million Certification Exams In 2022-2023 Academic Year
YouScience announces it has administered over one million certification exams to high school students across the U.S. during the 2022-23 academic year.
Founded in 2006, YouScience is an education-to-career platform focusing on closing the growing skills gap between students and employers. The company offers industry-recognized certifications, enabling students to demonstrate and quantify their skills with future employers. In April 2023, TechBuzz reported that the American Fork, Utah-based company launched a new product, Employer Spotlight, an AI-driven aptitude career matching solution helping employers source ideal candidates.
YouScience recognizes businesses today are facing a serious global challenge of matching matching available jobs to skilled workers, especially as industries evolve and technology advances at a rapid pace, making it difficult for traditional education systems keep up with the changing demands of the labor market.
The YouScience Brightpath platform offers students opportunities to explore their aptitudes, interests, and strengths, providing them with valuable insights into potential career paths. The platform utilizes a combination of aptitude testing and career discovery tools, enabling students to identify and align their natural abilities with the skills required in various industries.
YouScience also collaborates with industry experts to develop rigorous certification programs that validate students’ competencies in specific fields using the YouScience Industry Certifications. These certifications provide a tangible demonstration of proficiency and equip students with a competitive advantage in the job market. They also cover various industries, including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and more, ensuring students have access to diverse career opportunities.
The company reached a milestone in the 2022-23 academic school year of administering over one million exams.
These exams were carried out within 848 school districts across 43 states. 1,635 schools participated in these exams this past school year. In Utah, Granite School District and Weber School District have incorporated the YouScience exams into their assessment practices.
YouScience offers over 200 entry- to mid-level industry certifications. Exams are available for all 16 National Career Clusters including 21st Century Skills.
